Why we started Nuvolex
When we started Nuvolex, it was a gut feel we had on what might be coming to Enterprise IT: If adoption of SaaS applications continued to rise inside the Enterprise, their IT organizations would be overwhelmed with SaaS sprawl.
The idea of having to manage user lifecycles and control IT administrator access across each of these disparate SaaS platforms we believe would become quite complex, time-consuming and probably expose a number of security gaps. We felt that the IT staff, especially the Help Desk, would get increasingly bogged down handling user onboarding, offboarding and daily administration with each new SaaS application. We thought that this would ultimately force senior IT administrators to get involved, keeping these valuable IT resources from focusing on more strategic IT projects.
We thought this escalating SaaS management problem would be obvious to others as well. But we couldn’t find anyone solving this SaaS sprawl challenge.
That’s when we decided to start Nuvolex…

Since we couldn’t find any existing platforms that addressed the specific challenge of SaaS Application User Lifecycle Management (“ULM”), we decided to go build it ourselves. To be honest, at the time we had no idea just how big and complex a problem we were taking on (thankfully)…
After spending years of countless conversations with many hundreds of IT organizations and Service Providers across the globe trying to really understand their SaaS administrative challenges, it was pretty clear that there were a number of problems in this broader category that needed to be solved. However, we knew we couldn’t solve all the problems we discovered and needed to focus on a specific pain point to attack.
We came up with the below set of requirements for the specific product we wanted to build:
Laser Focus on SaaS Application User Lifecycle Management
We wanted to do one thing better than anyone else in the category of SaaS management. We developed a maniacal focus on providing the best-in-class solution for automating User Lifecycle Management across leading SaaS applications for Enterprise IT and major IT Service Providers. We created our platform specifically for the IT Help Desk as the platform they used every day/all day to handle SaaS ULM.
Effortless Usability
We wanted to make sure the product we built was designed to be highly intuitive so that Help Desk administrators would be incredibly efficient and successful using our platform to handle ULM for their organization’s SaaS environment.
Effortless Installation
We also wanted to build a product that didn’t require having IT organizations do any custom coding, stitch together a bunch of scripts or complex workflows. We didn’t want these organizations to have to hire workflow/automation experts to create a ULM platform.
We wanted to deliver to the market a true “out-of-the-box” SaaS management platform. We wanted these IT organizations to be successfully up and running on our platform in a matter of hours - not weeks or months.

We created a platform that heavily automates and secures User Lifecycle Management across leading SaaS applications. It’s something we’re very proud of.
Building Nuvolex has been a very long road filled with many challenges and obstacles along the way, but it was also a journey of relentless perseverance. Now, we're excited to finally share our vision with you.
